1 Killed, Two Wounded in Shooting Near Homesh Outpost

A terrorist shooting attack occurred near the Homesh outpost in Yehuda and Shomron on Thursday night, leaving one Israeli dead and two wounded, according to initial reports.

The critically wounded man, in his 20s, was evacuated to a nearby Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva by helicopter as paramedics were performing CPR on him, but did not survive his wounds. He was later identified as Yehudah Dimentman, Hy”d, a talmid of the Homesh Yeshiva in Shomron. He was married and had one child.

The other two victims, also in their 20s, had moderate and light injuries, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service.

The IDF was called out to set up roadblocks in a search for the perpetrators.

According to Channel 12 news, the three men were shot while in a car exiting Homesh and heading toward Shavei Shomron.

Public Security Minister Omer Barlev condemned “the ugly head of Palestinian terror once again raising its head.” He sent condolences to the family of the niftar.

The IDF was called out to set up roadblocks in a search for the perpetrators and security forces were put on high alert following the attack.

“Security forces will get their hands on the terrorists. We are continuing to raise our alertness and readiness against terror in Yehuda and Shomron and will continue to use all our capabilities on all fronts against terrorist organizations,” Defense Minister Benny Gantz said in a statement.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said: “I send my condolences to the family of the terror victim and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Israeli security will find the terrorists quickly,” he promised.
