Historic First Meeting Between Israeli PM and Crown Prince of Bahrain
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland, on Tuesday.
No further details were immediately available about the meeting between Bennett and Al Khalifa.
Bahrain and Gulf neighbor United Arab Emirates normalized relations with Israel last year in a U.S.-brokered deal known as the Abraham Accords that built on common commercial interests and concerns about Iran.
In September, Bahrain hosted Israel’s foreign minister in the highest-level visit since the countries formalized ties.
