Hagaon Harav Dov Landau, shlita, delivered a shiur for talmidei Slabodka on Wednesday afternoon in the Renaissance ballroom in Boro Park. The shiur, attended by an overflow crowd of approximately 800 people, welcomed the Rosh Yeshiva with tremendous kavod as they listened intently to the shiur of the sugya of tosfos shevi’is. During the shiur, the Mashgiach Harav Don Segal, shlita, sat on the stage next to the Rosh Yeshiva as he spoke for over half an hour.

As he ended the shiur, he told the audience that he wished to speak only to the talmidim of Slabodka Yeshiva. “Although I came for the benefit of the avreichim in Eretz Yisrael, I am speaking today for the talmidim of the yeshiva. You all owe hakaras hatov for all you gained while in the yeshiva, and I want to tell you that the Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon Harav Moshe Hillel (Hirsch), shlita, works with all his koach for the benefit of the yeshiva. I see this every day. You all understand what your obligation is.

Before leaving the hall, the talmidim sang a niggun which allowed the Rosh Yeshiva to rest up a bit from the shiur before walking to the car which was waiting to take him to his next destination.
