Workers March on Brooklyn Bridge to Protest Vaccine Mandate

NEW YORK

New York City municipal employees marched across the Brooklyn Bridge in protest of the city’s vaccine mandate.

For the thousands of city workers who are not vaccinated, if they do not get a shot, will go on unpaid leave starting Friday, according to ABC 7. The city has offered a $500 bonus for employees who get vaccinated.

Several city agencies, including the NYPD and the FDNY, have vaccine rates that are lagging behind the general population.

Also on Monday, the Police Benevolent Association of the City filed a lawsuit in Staten Island state Supreme Court to overturn the mandate.
