BD’E — Harav Yehudah Goldberg, Zt”l

Hamodia is saddened to report the petirah of Harav Yehudah Goldberg, zt’’l, a magid shiur at Yeshiva of Telshe Alumni in Riverdale.

Rav Yehuda was the son of Reb Yitzchok and Betty Goldberg of Chicago, who were known as tremendous baalei chesed. Their children went on to become renowned talmidei chachamim.

Rav Yehudah learned in Telshe-Chicago before learning in Telshe-Cleveland. He then learned in Brisk in Yerushalayim. He was known as a big tamid chacham and a great masmid, and was marbitz Torah in the Riverdale Yeshiva for many years.

Rav Yehuda is survived by his brothers Harav Aharon Dovid Goldberg, rosh yeshiva of Telshe Cleveland and Rabbi Efraim Goldberg of Lakewood Cheder; his sisters Mrs. Shani Eisemann and Mrs. Leah Hess. His brother, Rav Chaim Goldberg, zt”l, was a legendary baal tzedakah, and Rav Moshe Tzvi Goldberg, zt”l, was a magid shiur for many years at Yeshiva Gedolah Zichron Shmayahu of Toronto.

The levayah is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Yeshiva of Telshe Alumni of Riverdale, 4904 Independence Avenue in Riverdale, NY.
