Daily Talmud Study Honored with Own Square in Beitar Illit

YERUSHALAYIM -
(City of Betar)

Kikar Lomdei HaDaf, named in honor of those who study the daily Talmud page, was inaugurated on Wednesday in Beitar Illit, at the entrance to Givat Bet.

The event naming the square was held on the yartzheit of Rabbi Meir Shapira z”l, the founder of the international Daf Hayomi movement.

Participating in the ceremony were Daf Hayomi rebbes, Mayor Meir Rubenstein and members of the municipal council.

A unique feature was installed in the square: alongside a digital screen showing a page of Talmud, updated to keep up with the international Daf Hayomi schedule.
