Former prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu has begun writing a book that will tell his side of the story about his years in office, Walla reported on Thursday.

Citing political sources, the report said that Netanyahu has been busy at work on the project since returning from a vacation in Hawaii last month.

The book is expected to cover, among other things, his fight against the Iran nuclear deal, securing the purchase COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer, and the series of normalization deals reached with the UAE, Bahrain and Morocco. He will also have the opportunity to respond in print former president Barak Obama, and others who have written about him unfavorably.

Netanyahu, the author of several books in the 1980s and 1990s, plans to publish this one in English first, and then in Hebrew, given the much larger potential market in the U.S. The report did not say who the publisher might be.

As a member of Knesset, Netanyahu is barred from receiving outside income, with the exception of that derived from book sales.
