The Constitution, Law and Justice Committee met on Thursday and discussed regulations for dealing with the coronavirus. Dr. Sharon Alroy-Preis, head of Public Health Services at the Ministry of Health, said: “The statement made by this committee about the professionalism and the support for the Ministry of Health is very important. People in the Ministry of Health work with professionalism and dedication, and the fact that a Knesset Committee says that the professionalism of the ministry is not in question, whether or not they agree with the recommendations, is very important.”

MK Rabbi Uri Maklev (United Torah Judaism) commented: “We saw the severe attack by the Prime Minister against the healthcare system. I want to reinforce you in the face of the Prime Minister’s statements against you. Even if there’s criticism, it’s improper and unjustified to do such shaming. All of us here, the public representatives, reinforce you in the face of what was done against you.”

Committee Chair MK Gilad Kariv responded to Rabbi Maklev’s statement that backing was only offered by opposition members.
