Rabbi Moshe Dovid Tendler, son in law of Hagaon Harav Moshe Feinstein, zt”l, was niftar on Shemini Atzeres. He was 95 years old.

Rabbi Tendler was a Rav of the Community Synagogue of Monsey, New York, and was a magid shiur at RIETS for decades. He was also a professor of biology and chairman of the Biology Department at Yeshiva College. He had lectured and written extensively on medical ethics.

His wife, Rebbetzin Shifra Tendler, a”h, passed away nearly 14 years ago.

The levayah is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the Community Synagogue of Monsey, 89 West Maple Avenue at 2 p.m.

Kevurah is scheduled in the beis olam on Brick Church Road and Route 306.

Traffic in the area is expected to be heavy since it coincides with the yahrtzeit of the Ribnitzer Rebbe, zy”a, whose tzion is in the nearby Visnitzer Beis Olam.

Starting approximately 12 noon on Thursday, Brick Church Rd will be closed from Ivy Lane until Route 306, and will remain in effect until the early morning hours of Friday, October 1st.
