Israel’s Positivity Rate Rises to 6.57%

The Health Ministry on Motzoei Shabbos reported that 9,725 new coronavirus cases had been diagnosed the previous day.

Out of 80,823 active patients, 696 are in serious condition, with 186 connected to ventilators.

This is the highest number of intubated patients since the start of the fourth wave.

At the same time, the positivity rate showed a rise, reaching 6.57% compared to Thursday’s 6.26% and Wednesday’s 5.47%.

Twelve people succumbed to coronavirus on Friday and seven on Shabbos, for a total of 7,337 coronavirus deaths since the start of the pandemic.
