Over 2,000 New COVID Cases Over the Weekend

According to data published by the Health Ministry, 1,470 new cases of the coronavirus were diagnosed on Friday, with another 670 diagnosed over Shabbos.
The data further showed that the number of serious cases rose by eight to 89, 18 of whom are currently ventilated.
Friday saw a rise in testing, with some 87,000 tests administered in a single day, leading to a 1.66% positivity rate.
