Leading Gedolim Call for Increased Limud HaTorah: ‘We Must Thank Hashem for the Miracle’

Hagaon Harav Chaim Kanievsky, shlita, and Hagaon Harav Gershon Edelstein, shlita, issued a special letter Tuesday, calling for more limud Torah in light of the fact “… that the tzarah [of coronavirus] has been almost completely eradicated.

“By chessed Hashem we have merited seeing the miracles in the healing of those sick with the coronavirus. And of course, the recipient of the miracle must recognize it and thank Hashem for protecting us in His Kindness, daily and saving us from this terrible illness, especially at a time when we hear of the terrible situation in many countries around the world.

The letter called for an increase in Torah learning, especially in the days leading up to Kabbalas HaTorah.

“And in this merit, His protection will continue and will extend to the whole Diaspora.”
