Ramming Attack Thwarted by IDF
During an overnight IDF operation in the village of Bir Naballah, a checkpoint to allow additional forces to operate in the area was set up. Palestinians reported that a driver was killed at the checkpoint and that his wife was seriously injured. Later this morning, an IDF spokesman said that the driver who was shot tried to run over and hit the fighters.
An IDF spokesman said: “The fighters at the checkpoint identified a vehicle stopping at the checkpoint and then accelerating toward another group of fighters operating in the area, in a way that endangered the fighters’ lives. The fighters responded with fire. There are no casualties to our forces. ”
The terrorist was Osama Mansour, age 42. Security forces confiscated his vehicle for further investigation.
