The Kosel Heritage Foundation, as it does every year, is at work Tuesday removing the accumulation of notes from the past six months, from between the stones of the Kosel Hamaaravi.

The notes were collected in bags and will be buried along with sefarim sent for genizah on Har Hazeisim.

Among the notes, there are thousands sent from around the world. Since the pandemic outbreak before Passover last year, over 71,000 notes have been sent through the Kosel website alone. This is a rise of about 10% in comparison to the same period before the pandemic.

The process is accompanied by the Rav of the Kosel, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz.

In addition, the Foundation is preparing for Birkas Kohanim during Chol Hamoed, which will take place in accordance with Health Ministry regulations at that time.
