Minister of Social Equality Moves to Yesh Atid
Minister of Social Equality Meirav Cohen joined the Yesh Atid party Tuesday, leaving the failing Blue and White party in tatters.
Like Avi Nissenkorn last week, she is expected to resign from the government.
Later Tuesday, Yair Lapid and Cohen will enter a press conference where they will make a joint statement.
In an announcement to her party, Cohen said “I will start from the end – I decided to leave Blue and White to run on behalf of the Yesh Atid party in the Knesset elections. I know this is not a surprise to some of you, because we have had quite a few conversations about it recently. I am full of appreciation for each and every one of you, and for all the Blue and White activists, and thank you for the very exciting and challenging period we have gone through together in the last two years.
