The Health Ministry reported Wednesday morning just 43 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections in Israel to 16,314.

One death was reported over the course of the day, bringing the total fatalities to 238.

Ninety patients are in serious condition, with only 70 of them requiring ventilator-assisted breathing.

There are 5,549 Israelis currently sick with the virus, while 10,527 have recovered.
