Ashdod’s Assuta Hospital Closes COVID-19 Ward Due to Lack of Patients
The Assuta Medical Center in Ashdod closed its designated ward for coronavirus carriers on Thursday, since there are no patients to be hospitalized there.
A notice was put up at the hospital saying the coronavirus ward “is closed due to zero patients.”
Meanwhile, the number of people in Israel who are intubated due to the coronavirus continues to decline. On Thursday morning, the Health Ministry reported that the number was 85. There are 7,239 active cases of the virus in Israel – 117 in serious condition. To date, 219 people have succumbed to the virus, while 8,412 have fully recovered.
