A 16-year-old boy who was diagnosed with coronavirus is hospitalized in serious condition at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, the hospital said on Wednesday.

The teenager is suffering from organ failure and heart complications, according to reports.

According to Kan News, two tests for the virus came back negative while the third was positive.

Yediot Acharonot reported that the boy was given five virus tests, four of which came back negative, with the last test coming back “borderline positive,” signaling the diagnosis remains unclear.

Meanwhile, the eleven-year-old girl who was in serious condition with coronavirus, also in the Rambam Medical Center, has regained consciousness and is now breathing on her own, the hospital said Wednesday.

The hospital said the girl, a resident of Elad, will be kept at hospital for observation in the coming days.

She has recovered from the coronavirus but suffered heart complications from the disease. Prior to contracting coronavirus, she had no pre-existing medical conditions.

On Tuesday, she was weaned off the ventilator, but was still unconscious. On Wednesday, she woke up and was breathing on her own.
