A crane fell and hit a building Wednesday morning at a construction site in Rishon LeTzion, causing it to collapse, but, b’chasdei Shamayim, there were no injuries.

Many rescue forces made their way to the scene due to the suspicion of many people being caught inside the building and the initial reporting of a “multi-casualty event.”

MDA crews who first arrived at the scene reported that no casualties were seen.

A short time later, MDA canceled the call of a multi-casualty event, after conducting an on-the-spot check with a list of workers at the site and determining that all employees were outside the building.

Emmanuel Itzkowitz, an MDA paramedic, said, “When we arrived, we came across concrete pillars that the workers say collapsed while they were working on a construction site. No injured have been found so far. Workers at the construction site have updated us that there are no missing workers at the site.”
