The Boro Park Jewish Community Council has created a new site to assist people with the financial repercussions of the cornavirus pandemic.

The site has links to initiatives, and grant and loan programs.

Additionally, the site has a Job Assistance tab, where those who have lost their job due to COVID-19 can fill out a form, and the BPJCC Workforce Initiative Department will inform them when a suitable job opening is available.

Businesses looking for qualified workers can contact the BPJCC at workforce@BPJCC.org.

Additional helpful sites on the new COIVD-19 info-site are links for small business (including the SBA loan), housing, and financial links (including a link to the Hebrew Free Loan Society to apply for an interest-free loan of up to $5,000 for those facing financial challenges caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

There are also links for housing assistance, food assistance, mental health help and more.

“These are truly challenging times,” says Avi Greenstein, CEO of the BPJCC, “but we will get through this by working together.”

The BPJCC will continue to work on its rapid response system in the upcoming days, as it continues to seek more ways of helping the community. Community members are urged to check back frequently for updates at www.bpjcc.org as new offers of help and assistance continue to come in daily.
