Israel’s 2nd Fatality: 67-Year-Old Woman Dies From Coronavirus

YERUSHALAYIM -

A 67-year-old woman has died of the coronavirus at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, the hospital announced Tuesday afternoon.

She is the second Israeli fatality to the coronavirus. On Shabbos, Aryeh Even, 88, was the first Israeli to die from the virus.

The woman suffered from a serious underlying medical condition which was exacerbated by the virus and was hospitalized in the ICU with respiratory difficulties, the hospital statement noted.

“Our intensive care team fought for her life with great dedication, but her condition deteriorated and despite the intensive care she passed away,” the hospital said.
