The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have announced that as of 9:00 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2020, the tolls at the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnel will temporarily be made cashless, and will be collected exclusively via the cashless system. There will be no toll collectors on duty to receive payment from drivers.

Cars without EZ-Pass will receive a bill in the mail for their tolls due. This is been implemented as a precaution to help protect the toll collectors from possible exposure to the coronavirus.

Tolls at the Bayonne Bridge, Goethals Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing have already been made cashless prior to the COVID-19 outbreak.
