All Rockland County schools, both public and private, will be closed, County Executive Ed Day said Monday.

Public schools will be closed starting Tuesday; the private-school closure takes effect Wednesday. Pre-K is not subject to the closure.

Day said the situation will be reassessed in two weeks.

Day also said the county is implementing measures against price-gouging and hoarding, mandating that stores impose limits on certain items. There is also a ban on open buffet and salad bars.
