Chief Rabbis: Health Ministry Instructions Are Halachah

The Chief Rabbis’ office announced Motzoei Shabbos that the instructions published by the Health Ministry in regards to the coronavirus are to be adhered, saying that “all health-related instructions are now halachah.”

The Chief Rabbis said that they are holding discussions with professionals regarding weddings, tefillah betzibbur, funerals and other issues, adding that any decision would be reported once it is made.

The Chief Rabbis called upon all to follow the Health Ministry’s directives and to increase tefillah that the pandemic should be stopped.
