Three Suspects Arrested for Stealing, Knocking Shtreimel Off Man’s Head
Three suspects were arrested in Boro Park on Motzoei Shabbos for a possible hate crime after they stole from a deli and then knocked a shtreimel off the head of a passerby.
The group entered a delicatessen on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 45th St. and stole from the store. They then escaped, knocking the shtreimel off a man’s head on the way out. A passerby called Shomrim, which initiated a search for the three suspects.
Boro Park Shomrim members followed the suspects to 13th Ave. and 46th St. and then police swooped in to arrest them.
Police are looking into whether the three can be charged for hate crime.
