New York Residents Can Apply for Winter Heating Assistance
Utilities are reminding customers in New York that enrollment for heating assistance is open for this winter.
The Home Energy Assistance Program helps low-income people pay the cost of heating their homes. The utilities NYSEG and RG&E reminded customers Tuesday that enrollment for New York’s HEAP program is now open.
Eligibility and benefits are based on income, household size and other factors.
