Attempted Assault on Jewish Man in Gravesend

BROOKLYN -

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating another anti-Semitic incident in Brooklyn, this one in the Gravesend neighborhood.

The office of Councilman Chaim Deutsch tells Hamodia that a Jewish man was walking to shul Monday morning, at Ocean Parkway and Quentin Road, when a young man on a bicycle stopped and made anti-Semitic comments, threatening to assault him. The perpetrator then tried throwing several punches, but the man ducked and was not hit.

Anti-Semitic hate crimes in New York have risen by 60% this year, according to the NYPD.
