Tree Collapses on 15th Ave. in Strong Rain

A large elm tree collapsed in the heavy rains this afternoon, damaging at least one vehicle but not causing any injuries.
The tree lay across the sidewalk on 15th Ave. and 50th Street, its large branches sprawled over several cars parked along the curb and stretching well into the street. One of the vehicles, a small white car, appeared to be damaged from the impact.
