Netanyahu Appoints Peretz as Education Minister, Smotrich for Transportation

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu appointed Rabbi Rafi Peretz and MK Betzalel Smotrich as ministers in his Cabinet, together with membership in the Political-Security Cabinet and observer in the Cabinet.
At the request of the URP, it was agreed that Peretz would be appointed education minister and Cabinet observer, and Smotrich would be appointed transportation minister and Cabinet member.
The parties also agreed to maintain the status quo in matters of religion and state.
