Arabs Stone Vehicle of MK Betzalel Smotrich

IDF soldiers overnight Tuesday fired at a suspicious Arab near Ramallah who was later found to be carrying a firebomb, and was preparing to throw it at Israeli soldiers or vehicles. Soldiers who spotted the Arab called on him to halt, but he ran away. Soldiers opened fired on him, injuring him moderately. He was given first aid by soldiers at the site and later taken to a hospital.

Meanwhile, United Right List MK Betzalel Smotrich experienced Arab terror firsthand Tuesday night, when Arabs stoned his car as he was traveling along Road 60 in the Binyamin region. The attack occurred near the Arab village of Sinjil. Smotrich was not injured, but his vehicle was damaged. “Tonight I experienced the routine of rock-throwing on Israeli vehicles in Yehudah and Shomron,” Smotrich said in a social media post. “It’s a classic Ramadan event,” he added. Smotrich did not say if he reported the attack to authorities.

Overnight Tuesday, security officials said they arrested six wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
