BD’E Rebbetzin Yocheved Mindel Horowitz a”h

Rebbetzin Yocheved Mindel Horowitz was a daughter of Harav Menachem Mendel Wagschal, the Shinive Rav of Monsey. Her mother, was a daughter of Harav Yissochor Ber Rottenberg, Zt”l, the Voideslaver Rav who was a son in law of the Shotzer Rebbe, Rav Shulem Moskowitz, Zy’a, from London. She married Harav Avrohom Yaakov Horowitz, the Dzikover Rebbe, shlita, son of Harav Eliezer Horowitz, Zy’a, the Melitzer Rebbe originally from Bnei Brak , who later lived in Boro Park where he had a shul named K’hal Zichron Yehudah V’yehoshua Melitz.

The Rebbetzin was unwell the last few years and though she was considered stable she developed a fatal infection recently from which she unfortunately passed away Thursday night.

The levaya began at their shul, K’hal Ezer L’Yehuda Dzikov – Melitz, at 9:30 am today, Friday,  and will continue on to the Shinive Bais Medrash on Nesher Court then on to the bais hachaim in Floral Park, New Jersey.

Rebbetzin Horowitz, A”h, is survived by her husband, Harav Avrohom Yaakov, her sons, Reb Alter Yitzchok, Reb Shulem, Reb Berel and a daughter Mrs. Malka Esther Gancz.
