11-Year-Old Boy in Critical Condition After Hit and Run in Yerushalayim

An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after a car hit him on Rechov Mirski in Ramot, Yerushalayim, on Sunday night. The driver fled the scene and remains at large.

Police are continuing their searches for the driver.

The boy was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in critical condition. Officials from the hospital reported Monday morning that the boy remains in critical condition, and is unconscious and on a respirator.

Police said that the vehicle involved in the accident was found several hours after the accident near Givat Ze’ev, west of Yerushalayim.

The suspect has been described as a man in his 20s; the car did not belong to him.

All are asked to daven for Chaim Binyamin ben Shoshanah Reizel. The name Chaim was added, after consultation with Hagaon Harav Chaim Kanievsky, shlita, in light of the critical condition of the boy.
