Coney Island’s Amusement Park Opens for Season

The rides are up and running at Coney Island’s amusement park.

Luna Park, which runs the Cyclone wooden roller coaster and other attractions, held its official opening ceremony in Brooklyn on Sunday.

The Cyclone was dedicated with an egg cream, a drink made of seltzer, milk and chocolate syrup with a long history on Coney Island.

The famed ride is celebrating its 92nd year, and the first 92 people in line were given free rides in honor of the occasion.
