Two Terror Attacks, No Serious Injuries

YERUSHALAYIM

Two security incidents were reported on Wednesday; one near Yerushalayim, the other near Tekoa in Gush Etzion.

A Palestinian bus passenger attempted to stab crossing authority officers at the az-Za’ayyem checkpoint between Maaleh Adumim and Yerushalayim.

The officers reportedly fired warning shots in the air before managing to arrest the attacker, a female resident of Tulkarem.

B’chasdei Shamayim, no injuries were reported.

In a separate attack, an Israeli man was lightly injured by a hammer thrown at his car by someone from the Palestinian village of Tuqua as he was driving near Tekoa, security officials said.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The hammer smashed through the front windshield and landed inside the car.

The army said it had launched a search of the area for the attackers.
