Palestinian Crossings to Be Closed on Election Day

YERUSHALAYIM -

A closure on crossings into Israel from Palestinian towns in Yehudah and Shomron and the Gaza Strip will be in force to maintain order during the elections.

The Israel Defense Forces said the closure will begin at midnight on Monday and last through midnight Tuesday, when the voting will be over.

Exceptions will be made for humanitarian cases, such as allowing medical patients to travel to Israeli hospitals, the army said.
