Changes at Department of Homeland Security: Kirstjen Out, Replaced by McAleenan

President Trump announced that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen will be leaving her post, and will be replaced by Kevin McAleenan, the current U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, who will become Acting Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security.

President tweeted that about Secretary Nielsen that he “would like to thank her for her service…” and that he has “great confidence that Kevin will do a great job!”
