BD’E – Harav Avraham Rosenberg, Zt”l

With great sadness we report the petirah of Harav Avrohom Rosenberg, Zt”l, on Shabbos after a brief illness. Rav Rosenberg just turned 64 years old on 7 Adar.

Rav Avraham was the only son of Hagaon Harav Baruch Rosenberg, Zt”l, Rosh Yeshiva of Slabodka in Bnei Brak. Rav Baruch was one of the premier talmidim of the Mirrer Yeshiva in Shanghai, and was extremely close with the Mashgiach, Harav Chatzkel Levenshtein, Zt”l. Rav Avraham learned with his father extensively.

Rav Avraham’s mother, Rebbitzen Leah Rosenberg, a”h, was the daughter of Harav Avraham Grodzinsky, Hy”d, the Mashgiach of Slabodka in Europe, after whom the niftar was named. Rebbitzen Rosenberg passed away almost three months ago on 15 Teves.
