Intense Negotiations With Jordan: Har Habayis Flashpoint
Intensive negotiations are ongoing at this time between Israeli and Jordanian officials according to Ynet news to try to settle the crisis on Har Habayis. In an ongoing dispute on the “Shar Harachamim” there is great concern about Friday mornings prayers and calls by the Arabs for a mass gathering to protect Har Habayis from the Jews.
A high ranking police official stated “the preparations look like during Ramadan, not in the amount of people they expect, but because of the inflamed passions.”
The Friday prayers are scheduled to be held outside of Har Habayis by leaders of the Wakf that have been banned from entrance and other Palestinian activists in order to arouse anger against the Israeli authorities.
