13 Injured in NY Hunting Accidents in 2018

ALBANY – A record-low 13 people were injured last year in hunting accidents, with three dead, The Associated Press reported. The number of incidents ties the record-low mark the state first recorded in 2016. Six were self-inflicted, such as when a 75-year-old man used his rifle to help him stand up.

County Leaders Want NY to Pay for Early Voting Mandate

ALBANY – County officials from around New York state are telling state lawmakers: If you mandate early voting you must pay for it, The Associated Press reported. The request was one of several at the annual conference of the New York State Association of Counties.

Snowmobiler Fatally Struck by Fellow Rider

WEBB, N.Y. – A snowmobile driver died Friday night after he got off his vehicle and another snowmobile driver struck him, The Associated Press reported. Frank Prendergast, 56, was with a group when he veered off the trail and got stuck in the snow. He dismounted and was hit.
