Senator Felder to Hold MetroCard Bus Event

BROOKLYN

State Sen. Simcha Felder is hosting the MetroCard Bus in both Boro Park and Flatbush on Tuesday, a one-stop application assistance for reduced-fare cards, to purchase or add funds, exchange a damaged MetroCard, or report a lost or stolen card.

The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. until noon at 1412 Avenue J, and then from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 4623 16th Ave.

Felder says all that’s needed for seniors to get helped is a government-issued ID and Medicare card. The customer will be walked through the application and photographed. The recipient will receive a temporary card on the spot; the permanent card will arrive in the mail. No apoointment is necessary.

“People often call my office with MetroCard issues that are so easily solved on the MetroCard Bus,” Felder said. “But for many people the usual bus locations are just too far from their neighborhood. I am pleased to bring these services closer to home at our convenient office locations in Flatbush and Boro Park. I hope you all come by.”
