Tractor-Trailer Comes Apart, Hits Subway Entrance

NEW YORK (AP) —

A tractor-trailer separated from the truck cab it was attached to and hit the entrance to a subway station. No one was injured.

The New York Police Department says it happened Monday at the entrance for the F and M trains on Sixth Avenue and 23rd Street in Manhattan.

The impact ended with the trailer diagonal across multiple street lanes. One part of the trailer had gone up on the curb and into the subway entrance structure.

Authorities closed 23rd street as they waited for the trailer to be removed.
