IDF Blows Up Fifth Hezbollah Tunnel

The IDF revealed on Wednesday that it found and destroyed a fifth cross-border Hezbollah tunnel in recent days.

The tunnel from Lebanon was located near the town of Ayta ash Shab on the other side of the border.

It says in a statement that the tunnel was “neutralized using an explosion,” following notification of UNIFIL, the U.N. force charged with keeping the peace at the border, and “other relevant authorities.”

It says it holds the Lebanese government responsible for the “blatant violation” of U.N. Resolution 1701, which ended the Second Lebanon War.
