Chaverim of Rockland Proactive About Dangers Of Lack of Visibility
With the winter nights beginning at such an early hour, there are increased numbers of pedestrians out well after dark, including children who are making their way home from school.
It has always been important on Monsey’s often dark streets that every pedestrian out after dark wear a reflector so they can be seen by drivers. To drive this necessity home, Chaverim of Rockland launched a popular reflector safety “Be Seen” video and drivers visibility chart.
In addition to that drive, the organization has taken things to the next level by distributing reflectors directly into the hands of pedestrians who are spotted as “not being seen” utilizing the few thousand reflectors received from Town Supervisor, Mr. Michael Specht.
