Violence as usual returned to the Gaza border fence on Monday.
Hundreds of Palestinians were rioting along the northern border, throwing rocks and firebombs, the army said on Monday afternoon.
Israeli troops were responding with tear gas and, in some cases, live fire.
The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said that 25 people have been injured in the violence.
A military spokesperson estimated that about 800 people were involved in the latest border flareup, which still represents a decrease from previous weeks.
Also on Monday, the IDF said that a fleet of several dozen ships left the Gaza coast in an apparent attempt to break through Israel’s naval blockade.
