Man Shot in Leg After Bodega Robbery

NEW YORK (AP) —

Authorities say a man who chased after some men who robbed a bodega at gunpoint is recovering from being shot in the leg.

WABC reports it happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Astoria section of Queens.

Police say two men went into the store, while another man acted as a lookout. The men demanded cash, and a gun was displayed. They took about $2,000 and fled, chased by the store owner’s brother-in-law. That man was shot in the leg about a block away, and was hospitalized.
