The latest case of measles was diagnosed in a teacher at an elementary school in Ashdod, a woman about 40 years old, the Times of Israel reported on Sunday.

In response, the school board has decided to vaccinate any first-graders who have not yet been vaccinated.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry announced the precaution of refusing access to “sensitive” departments of hospitals to visitors who have not been immunized against the disease.

These wards include intensive care and oncology.
