An IDF reserve soldier was moderately wounded and a civilian lightly wounded in a terror stabbing attack outside Shechem Thursday afternoon. The Arab who committed the stabbing ran away to the nearby village of Hawara. IDF patrols were searching for him in the village.

The 32-year-old soldier, serving on reserve duty, was being treated at a hospital in Petach Tikvah. The 26-year-old civilian was lightly injured from flying glass when soldiers shot at the terrorist. She was treated on site.

The attack took place at a traffic circle between Har Bracha and Itamar in Shomron. The Arab rushed the soldier, holding his knife, and managed to stab him before running away. Soldiers shot at the terrorist, but were unable to hit him.

This was the second terror attack in Shomron this week. On Sunday, two Israelis, Ziv Hajabi, Hy”d, and Kim Levengard Yechezkel, Hy”d, were murdered, when terrorist Ashraf Nalaweh shot them to death. Nalaweh is still at large, and the search for him continues. The murders took place at the Alon Metalworks factory in the Barkan Industrial Zone near Ariel, where Nalaweh had been employed as an electrician.
