Interior Minister and Shas Chairman Rabbi Aryeh Deri asked the general public to daven for a refuah shleimah for Minister of Religious Affairs Rabbi David Azoulay, whose medical condition has worsened.

Azoulay has been suffering with a prolonged illness in recent months, and as much had quit the Knesset, but remained a minister.

Minister Deri asked to pray “for the full and complete recovery of David ben Perla, who needs great mercy from Heaven.”

Deri issued the call from the home of Minister Azoulay, where he stayed to help the family.

Azoulay was released from the hospital on Yom Kippur.
