Chesed 24/7’s Eighth Annual Camp Tuna Can Campaign

Donations of tuna cans to Chesed 24/7 from Monsey camps

Chesed 24/7’s eighth annual camp tuna campaign was a rousing success.

This year, Monsey’s local camps who participated included: Bais Chinuch Hayoshen, Bais Trany, Bnos Sanz, Ateres Bnos, Machne Bnos Belz, Machne Bnos Skvere, Machne Ki Tov, Machne Meioros, Machne Samcheiniu, and Machne Toras Imecha, Machen Yedidos and Sanz Klauzenburg, among many others.

Together, the camps collected over 7,000 cans of tuna fish through enthusiastic campers who brought in donations to participate in the campaign.

The tuna will be used in the Chesed 24/7 hospitality rooms in the 20 hospital rooms Chesed 24/7 maintains on a regular basis, assuring that Chesed 24/7 will be able to continue providing sandwiches, salads, and snacks for patients and their families.

Chesed 24/7 oversees a multitude of programs, including 20 kosher hospitality rooms in the tri-state area. These rooms are a lifesaver for many families that pass through them daily. Whether they need a quiet place, a hot cup of coffee, or fresh food, Chesed 24/7’s Hospitality Room is there to give them immeasurable comfort at a time when they need it the most.

Chesed 24/7 is known for its numerous relief activities on behalf of the sick, the elderly and the developmentally disabled. From visiting the sick to sending hot nourishing meals, providing transportation to hospitals, maintaining Chesed Hospitality Rooms, providing stimulating activities to both seniors and the developmentally disabled, Chesed 24/7 provides those going through a difficult situation with the support and services they need.
