Aeromexico Plane Crashes in Mexico’s Durango State; No Deaths

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) —

An Aeromexico plane crashed near the airport in the northern state of Durango on Tuesday. There were no deaths among the 97 passengers and four crew members onboard, according to Durango Governor Jose Rosas Aispuro.

TV images showed the tail of a plane bearing an Aeromexico logo emerging from scrubland and a column of smoke rising to the sky. A reporter for network Milenio said some passeengers walked to a highway to seek help.
